JSD are celebrating after bringing home a clutch of trophies from the prestigious Professional Clothing Awards 2018.
Best Workwear Design – Ocado
Our Bespoke Workwear Range for Ocado, featuring advanced performance fabrics for a range of high visibility, layered workwear resulted in a win in the “Best Design for Workwear” category. The judges were impressed with our submission outlining how we developed not only a truly bespoke, advanced performance uniform for Ocado’s delivery staff, but also a bespoke online system to allow the client to reduce returns, control its budget and manage orders of uniform for new staff.
Best Managed Boutique Contract – Bare Minerals
Our entry for “Best Managed Boutique Contract”, the design and launch of a new “single item” wardrobe for Bare Minerals was also a winner. Asked to develop a “non-uniform uniform”, we produced a simple denim shirt that could be styled in a number of ways to reflect the individuality of the wearer. It stood out from the competition in the way we created a brand new look for staff, enabling Bare Minerals brand identity to stand out, whilst still allowing staff to express their own style.
Best Managed Contract Runner Up – Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express
The final award of the night was a “Highly Commended” recognition in the “Best Managed Major Contract” category, this time for our work with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Already an established supplier to International Hotel Group, we were asked to develop and supply uniforms for Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, distributed to 32 countries across 18,000 staff members. The development process lasted over 24 months, with wearer trials and a full range of options including shirt dresses, skirts, shirts, waistcoats, trousers and soft shell jackets. Our flexibility, the tailored service we provide and the way we managed this large scale contract all contributed to the recognition.
