Catering Staff Uniforms
Creating an image that is on brand is different for every project. The success lies in bringing a brand to life through the people and the bespoke design clothing they wear.” – Vanessa Robertson, Jermyn Street Design account manager.
Our catering industry clients
JSD have extensive experience in designing, manufacturing and distributing catering uniforms. Our expert in-house design team understand how to create modern catering uniforms that fully compliment the work environment and enhance the client’s brand. Our in-house team recently designed bespoke catering uniforms for Center Parcs, the Haulfryn Group, Harry Ramsden, the IHG Group, David Lloyd Leisure and Ascot Racecourse.
Consulting on catering uniforms at every stage
We have experience of guiding our clients at every stage of the uniform redesign process. For instance, Center Parcs asked us to create a completely new colour palette specifically for the brand. By taking inspiration from nature, our talented designers chose a range of berry colours that complimented the forest backdrop of Center Parcs. This project also required three different kinds of uniforms for the catering staff, due to the variety of restaurant experiences they offer. Casual aprons and polo shirts were used for the pizzerias and casual dining restaurants, whereas waistcoats and smart shirts were used for the more formal restaurants. Our catering uniforms are loved by staff and highly praised in the corporate clothing industry. The designs we created for the Haulfryn Group were Highly Commended in the Best Workwear Design category at the 2009 Company Clothing Industry Awards. In addition to the compliments received from the awards body, we received a glowing testimony from Haulfryn Group – “The uniform has been exceedingly well received by all our staff and I am over-whelmed by the positive comments I have had about it.” We have also worked with Ascot Racecourse to create catering uniforms. This unique project allowed our designers to really demonstrate their artistic expertise. We developed an in-depth understanding of Ascot’s heritage and values to create modern uniforms that reflected Ascots legacy. JSD designer Lisa Cunningham says, “This brief inspired the design process with details referencing the five craftsman applying texture and materials; Leather for the Saddler, Aluminium for The Farrier, Animal Hide, The Groom, Mirror, The Trainer and pattern texture for The Jockey.” We recognise that no detail can be spared when creating truly premium uniforms.
Catering uniforms that are loved by staff
We are passionate about designing and manufacturing catering staff uniforms that are on-brand, fit for purpose and loved by staff. Our in-house design team research and analyse the needs of the staff uniforms and gather opinions from staff in the form of surveys and focus groups throughout the design process. JSD recognise that catering work environments may require a higher level of safety precautions and thus a uniform that can accommodate them. We have experience in working with these precautions in mind and have, in the past, created uniforms that use flame-retardant fabrics. Our team are continually looking into ways of creating protective corporate clothing that is also stylish and comfortable.
Flexibility of service
We offer a fully bespoke service and will adapt our standard process to meet the needs of each individual business. Our standard production of uniform manufactures sizes 6-28, however we can provide made-to-order options outside of this. Whilst we mainly deal in bespoke clothing, we also offer a mix of bespoke garments with stock items. JSD also provide flexibility in the way corporate uniforms are delivered. We work to understand how a business operates and tailor our distribution logistics in order to make the process perfect for the business. We work with our clients on the re-brand process and carry out focus groups with staff to create uniforms that employees are proud to wear. Our team also have experience in adapting designs to compliment different body fits, climates and cultures, as our multinational client base continues to grow.
Total contract management
We provide total contract management throughout the entire process. Each project is assigned a specialist JSD Account Manager, who will always be on hand to provide support. After the initial uniform roll-out, we will monitor stock levels and forecast your requirements using our cutting-edge stock management system – Prima. In addition to a JSD Account Manager, clients also receive support from our Customer Service Adviser, who will ensure that all queries receive a quick response.
