Jermyn Street Design Win JET2.com’s ‘Great Service Award’

Celebrations are in order here at Jermyn Street Design! We have achieved the Great Service Award from JET2.com, the second largest low-cost airline in the UK. As a market leader in bespoke corporate workwear, we were able to take their holiday and airline uniforms to extreme heights for the first time in January 2018.

Jane Hayden, JET2.com’s dedicated account manager, commented on the win: “So thrilled to have receive this Great Service award as recognition of our service effort these past two years.  We have built a very close working partnership and really enjoy working with the JET2.com team. We are looking forward to an exciting 2019, as it will be a busy time for both JET2.com and JSD as they both continue grow.”

But before joining our strong portfolio of clients, JET2.com had experienced major supply issues, which meant that their internal teams spent a great deal of time managing the uniform issues themselves— something that no business should encounter. To prevent this from happening under the care of JSD, our team developed a complete tailored service with a dedicated account manager based close to their headquarters in Leeds. This allowed us to be on hand when required.

The former JET2.com uniform design had been in place for nearly a decade. JET2.com asked JSD to bring this up to date. From pilots and cabin crew to ground ops staff, engineers and even holiday reps, our in-house designers and pattern cutters worked alongside JET2.com’s CEO to introduce new stretch fabric, better fit and function for the tailoring and shirting, which are an integral part of the current look.

The new collection also included a coat for customer-facing staff members. We designed it with fit, form, and comfort in mind. The coat itself embodies the former fabrics used by the brand and highlights the eye-catching corporate colours of red and blue, making staff instantly recognisable.

Sales and marketing director, Ann Dowdeswell commented: “JET2.com set a challenging brief from the outset, JSD rose to the challenge and had an aim to exceed their expectations. We tailored our service, and worked hand in hand, to build our partnership which is based on trust and transparency.”

Stock management was also crucial on this contract, as it is extremely important that JSD can plan ahead and react to JET2.com’s demands whenever required. JSD’s warehouse now holds the full stock and ensures on-time delivery in the UK and abroad. With their bespoke stock ordering and forecasting system, they now have a full overview of their account and can manage their budget more effectively.
