Since the 1990s, when Jermyn Street Design founder, Susanne Malim pioneered the Body Shop’s first eco uniform, sustainability and ethical workwear has been at the heart of JSD’s work for clients.

JSD’s Green Thread Sustainability brings together valuable industry insights, practices, accreditations, and other ongoing, industry-leading Sustainability Initiatives. Such as audits, metrics, workshops and other practical tools and initiatives covering all stages of the workwear lifecycle – from design and sourcing through manufacturing and distribution to garment care, End-Of-Life Disposal + Beyond.

JSD is a member of Common Objective (CO), which is the leading global sustainable sourcing platform. As ethical workwear uniform suppliers, we prioritise minimising our environmental footprint as well as the health and safety of our employees and the public.

Our Environmental Policy serves as a comprehensive framework for the development and implementation of our Environmental Management System (EMS). We firmly believe that conducting business should always be accompanied by respect for both people and the environment. Our operations focus on minimising the negative impact on the natural world and promoting sustainability. At JSD, we have adopted manufacturing processes that aim to reduce carbon emissions, conserve energy and water, minimise waste generation, and utilise eco-friendly materials. By implementing environmentally friendly practices, JSD is contributing to a healthier planet and reducing our ecological footprint.

The social component of ESG focuses on taking into account the welfare of our employees, clients, and the communities where our operations and manufacturing take place.
