FROM CONCEPT TO CREATION: THE DESIGN PROCESS
Creating, producing, and managing custom uniform needs to be a flexible process. Whether you are the individual end-wearer of a uniform, the uniform’s brand owner or responsible for your company’s international business operations and procurement – one size does not fit all.
At JSD, we adapt our approach, resources, and operations to suit the unique requirements of each client’s industry, business, brand, and end-wearers. To provide an overview, the end-to-end lifecycle can be divided into four stages, each involving various tasks and deliverables. If you want to learn more, contact us today.
As work uniform suppliers, our 360º research practices include interviews and observations of end-wearers, “a day in the life of”, and interviewing stakeholders. We analyse data, review trends, and immerse ourselves in the brand. Our talented team of designers, product developers, and trusted manufacturers, work closely from beginning to end to deliver award-winning ranges. CLOTHES AT WORK: A GUIDE
After the creative designs are finalised, the product development team creates and improves the patterns needed to make various samples of each garment. These samples are made with the final fabrics and trims and are used in wearer trials. Once the final uniform designs are approved, our product development team takes charge of the project to ensure that the quality is maintained and the specifications are followed during production. jSD’s manufacturing operations are structured to efficiently handle all “Made-To-Orders.” The success of any staff uniforms project hinges largely on the ability to meet exceptional needs and outliers, while also establishing exceptional standards. Yes, no one is uniform.
Each JSD client is assigned a dedicated account manager who serves as their main contact. This helps establish a strong connection between our teams and the client’s specific brand and business requirements. They ensure that workwear clothing is tailored to fit each client’s specific operations, priorities, and in-house resources.
JSD manages the shipping, storage, and distribution of uniforms, whether in bulk to clients’ hubs or directly to individual wearers. Garments manufactured outside the UK or the client’s domestic market are transported to dedicated warehouses. Upon customs clearance, the garments undergo stringent audits and are stored in designated areas tailored to each client’s specific needs. Our advanced barcoding system ensures high accuracy, complemented by JSD’s double-check process. Orders are tracked through JSD’s online system, which leverages cutting-edge technology to guarantee dependable and efficient uniform distribution.
