B CORP

WHAT IS B CORP

As of March 2025, JSD is officially a B Corp certified business and a proud member of the global movement that uses business as a force for good!

B Corp certification is awarded to companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. The rigorous B Corp assessment evaluates businesses across five key pillars – governance, workers, community, environment, and customers – using a scoring system that measures their overall impact. To achieve certification, companies must meet strict requirements and commit to ongoing improvements, with re-certification required every three years.

At JSD, we believe in doing business the right way. From ethical sourcing and responsible manufacturing to prioritising the well-being of our team and clients, we ensure that every aspect of our business is driven by a commitment to positive impact.

WHY IS B CORP IMPORTANT TO US?

Ethics and sustainability have always been an integral part of our culture. We nurture talent, champion ethical business practices, and place a strong emphasis on our environmental responsibilities – because we know that what we do today shapes the world of tomorrow.

Becoming a B Corp cements our long-standing commitment to crafting positive change for our employees, customers, communities, and the planet. It’s not just a certification – it’s a mindset that aligns with our values, challenging us to continuously raise the bar. We are now part of a global community of businesses that share our vision for a more sustainable, equitable, and responsible way of working.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR THE FUTURE

B Corp certification is more than just a badge of honour – it’s a promise to our team, our clients, and our industry that we will always prioritise people and the planet. Here’s what this means for the future of JSD:

  • Enhanced Accountability & Transparency – As a B Corp, we are held to the highest ethical and environmental standards, ensuring our business decisions align with long-term positive impact.
  • Stronger Partnerships – We are now part of a rapidly growing global network of over 9,000 B Corporations across 102 countries, from pioneering brands like Ben & Jerry’s and Patagonia to emerging businesses redefining their industries.
  • Continued Innovation & Growth – This certification drives us to be more innovative, resilient, and responsible in our design, production, manufacturing processes, and supply chains.
  • A More Sustainable Industry – By setting an example, we hope to inspire others in the corporate workwear and uniform supplier industry to prioritise sustainable, people-focused business practices.

WHAT IT MEANS TO THE JSD TEAM

For our team, achieving B Corp certification is an immense source of pride. It validates the hard work we’ve put into building a company that champions integrity, innovation, and responsibility.

  • Empowerment & Growth – Our employees know they are part of something meaningful, working in an environment that fosters personal and professional development.
  • A Unified Purpose – Every department, from design to client services to operations, shares the same commitment to making a positive impact, strengthening our workplace culture.
  • Attracting Like-Minded Talent – As a certified B Corp, we appeal to professionals who are passionate about sustainability and ethics, helping us grow an even stronger, values-driven team.

B Corp isn’t just a certification – it’s a movement. And at JSD, we’re proud to be leading the way in making business a force for good.

At JSD, we believe success isn’t just measured in profits – it’s about making a lasting impact. It’s about creating a business that supports people, nurtures talent, strengthens communities, and protects the environment. A business that operates with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to doing what’s right.

This isn’t just an aspiration; it’s the way we do business every day. Being part of the B Corp movement fuels our passion and commitment to building a better future – one that’s fairer, more sustainable, and truly impactful. It’s about helping to create a society that enjoys shared and durable prosperity – a society with equality of opportunity, a healthy environment, strong communities, and work with dignity and purpose.
