When it comes to luxury beauty, every detail contributes to brand perception — and your beauty uniforms are no exception.
At JSD, we understand that brands like Gucci Beauty demand uniforms that reflect elegance, creativity, and sophistication.
Every piece we design is completely custom-made, tailored to represent the artistry and prestige of your brand while supporting staff comfort and performance.
Luxury retail spaces are environments where presentation and professionalism must align with fashion-forward aesthetics.
We work closely with each brand to ensure that your uniforms are more than clothing — they become part of the customer experience, carefully designed with your visual identity and store environment in mind.
From the first fitting to delivery, every detail is considered, ensuring a seamless process and impeccable results.

Beauty and makeup consultants spend long hours on their feet, assisting customers and delivering exceptional service.
Our beauty uniforms are created with breathable, lightweight fabrics, stretch where needed, and smart layering to ensure effortless movement. Wrinkle-resistant finishes and easy-care materials keep uniforms looking polished from the first client appointment to the last.
We consider the importance of ergonomic fit, designing pieces that accommodate a variety of body shapes while maintaining elegant silhouettes.
Features such as concealed fastenings, side vents, and discreet functional pockets are all part of our approach to practical luxury. Accessories such as scarves, belts, and subtle embroidery allow you to showcase brand identity without overpowering the design.

At JSD, we’ve been designing bespoke uniforms for global luxury brands for more than 40 years.
Our process is fully collaborative, involving mood boards, colour palette development, fabric trials, and thorough wearer testing.
We are proud to be a certified B Corp upholding the highest standards of sustainability and ethics.
We work with brands to ensure that every uniform not only looks beautiful but also aligns with wider ESG goals. We use sustainable fabrics, prioritise ethical production, and help brands reduce their environmental impact. Learn more about the business benefits of investing in sustainable uniforms.

We design beauty uniforms that look elegant yet feel comfortable for all-day wear. Tailored tunics and dresses with luxurious textures, soft-touch fabrics, and elegant silhouettes provide freedom of movement. Small design elements — such as subtle brand embroidery or tone-on-tone patterns — reflect the premium nature of luxury beauty brands. Seasonal adaptations and layering options allow staff to stay comfortable year-round.
First impressions matter. We create reception uniforms with tailored blazers, smart blouses, and custom-designed accessories that complement the boutique environment. Wrinkle-resistant and breathable fabrics ensure comfort and style throughout long shifts. Our designs also focus on longevity and easy care, so uniforms retain their elegance after repeated wear.

When the Italian fashion house Gucci linked with global consumer-products giant P&G Prestige to launch the Gucci Beauty range, the alliance commissioned London-based Jermyn Street Design to create chic company uniforms that captured the prestige and allure of these two global brands.
From the start it was made very clear that everything associated with the Gucci brand must be of the highest standard.
The uniforms we created for the in-store beauty consultants must be perfect – in terms of look, fit and functionality. Achieving that balance proved exacting – but JSD drew on our experience creating beauty counter uniforms for other leading brands.
“Every small change they recommended allowed for movement and wear in the demanding role of the makeup artist. Both the Fashion House and our team were delighted with the results.”
In an exciting design consultation process, we worked collaboratively with the Gucci Fashion House in Rome and Milan, and with P&G Prestige in Geneva.
Early in the contract, it was agreed that the JSD in-house designers would take the existing designs worn by staff in the Gucci Boutiques and fashion stores internationally, and recreate them to achieve a corporate wear fit in high performance, fit-for-purpose fabrics.
The result is a minimal, slender uniform, which integrates stylish separates – jackets, trousers, cardigans and short and long sleeved blouses for ladies, and jackets, trousers, shirts, ties, polos and T-shirts for men. And being Gucci, it is naturally … black!
Response to the uniforms from the beauty consultants and clients alike was extremely positive. But perhaps most important, Gucci felt that they live up to its brand!
“From the start of the project, JSD were always our preferred partner,” says P&G Prestige. “We knew their experience and knowledge of the beauty world would be invaluable as we had worked with them on several other prestige brand uniforms for over a decade. The professionalism of JSD and their attention to detail at every step of the process was exceptional. Every small change they recommended allowed for movement and wear in the demanding role of the makeup artist.”
Because the uniform is worn across three continents, the JSD pattern cutters were required to adapt the UK regular fit in order to create both Asian and US fits.
“That distinctive Gucci deep black is a huge part of the uniform impact,” explains Rebecca Rhoades, the JSD in-house designer on this project. “We were required to match that black across five entirely different fabric types. It was a meticulous process and a great learning experience for JSD.”
Specifying fabrics that would prove functional and durable in a beauty counter environment saw JSD drawing on all our knowledge and experience. “The original designs, worn by staff at the Gucci fashion stores, specified 100% wool suiting fabrics, pure silk for the blouses and mother of pearl of buttons,” says Rebecca Rhoades. “A lot of changes were required to make the uniforms fit for purpose in the new context – and our recommendations came under very close scrutiny.”
At each stage we sent initial sketches, fabrics swatches and colour samples to the Gucci Fashion House for their approval. When it came to wearer trials, P&G Prestige were assigned to carry out the training sessions with international consultants, and JSD provided full uniform sets for this training and then adapted samples following feedback.
It was a challenge to recreate some of the fabrics and comply with wearer needs and functionality, but we always found a way to achieve the best compromise that satisfied both Gucci and P&G Prestige.
