In response to the urgent demand for critical medical equipment, British engineering firm Dyson has rapidly developed a new portable ventilator to support the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The device named CoVent has been specifically designed for quick, scalable production and is intended to assist NHS services as the need for such machines increases nationwide.
Dyson’s uniform partner, Jermyn Street Design, is continuing to provide support during this ongoing period of disruption. As a custom uniform designer, we are working closely with Dyson and other essential clients to maintain the continuity of corporate uniforms and protective garments required by staff across operations.
The role of uniform provision has shifted in light of the pandemic. Staff uniform design is now being adapted to meet heightened standards for practicality, hygiene, and wearability. In some cases, this has included fast-turnaround solutions for PPE workwear, such as lab coats, washable protective layers, and other protective clothing designed to support health and safety protocols across work environments.
As an ethical uniform supplier, JSD is maintaining a consistent supply chain while adjusting to new requirements and reduced lead times. Our focus remains on making sure every item, whether part of a standard uniform range or bespoke protective wear, meets expectations for durability, performance, and responsibility.
We continue to collaborate with clients like Dyson who are contributing actively to the national effort, helping their workforce stay well-equipped, protected, and focused on the critical work ahead with effective PPE workwear.
