Keeping Communities Warm: Supporting Waste Not Want Not Battersea and We Restart

At JSD, we don’t just design uniforms – we also aim to make a positive impact on the environment and our local communities.

This winter, we’re honoured to support two incredible charities, Waste Not Want Not Battersea and We Restart – by donating over 100 warm jumpers through the platform A Good Thing.

These jumpers, which are surplus uniform items, will soon find new homes with people who need them most – providing comfort, warmth, and a reminder that they are not alone during these colder months.

Waste Not Want Not Battersea: Spreading Warmth The Winter

For those in Battersea who are struggling, Waste Not Want Not Battersea is a real lifeline.

The charity collects surplus food from New Covent Garden Market and other local retailers, turning it into hearty meals for homeless individuals and others in need.

With the cold weather hitting all areas of the UK recently, the charity has been looking for partners to supply warm clothing for their community.

So this week, JSD are donating 87 jumpers to Waste Not Want Not Battersea.

The jumpers will go directly to homeless individuals, offering much-needed warmth during the cold nights.

We Restart: Rebuilding Lives Through Art

We Restart believes in the power of art to heal and connect.

From public art projects that celebrate diversity to workshops for disadvantaged youth, the charity uses creativity to help transform lives.

The charity works closely with asylum seekers and refugees who often arrive in the UK with nothing. By providing support and opportunities, We Restart helps them rebuild their lives and regain their voices through art.

This week, JSD are donating 30 jumpers to We Restart.

These will be given to asylum seekers, helping them stay warm during an especially challenging time.

JSD: Making Sustainability Meaningful

At JSD, sustainability is central to everything we do.

The jumpers we’re donating are surplus items, and instead of going to waste or being recycled, they’re being repurposed to help those in need.

This reflects our belief that no materials should be wasted when they can be reused or serve a greater purpose.

By working with A Good Thing to support these two local charities – we’re making sure that surplus uniform items are put to good use, supporting both people and the planet.

Small Acts, Big Impact

We’re proud to stand alongside these charities as they do the vital work of supporting people in need.

Our donation of jumpers is just a small gesture, but we hope it brings warmth and care to those who receive them.

This winter, let’s all think about how we can help one another, whether it’s through donating, volunteering, or simply showing kindness in our daily lives.

Together, we can make the world a little warmer for those that might not be as fortunate.
